The North East Global Youth Initiative (NEGYI) paid a courtesy visit to the ministry of Information and Culture, to thank the minister, to celebrate and conferred a meritorious award on her son, ASP Lucky Moses who is the current ADC to the honourable minister Alh. Lai Mohammed. Recalled that, the honourable minister decorated Lucky Moses to the rank of ASP at the behest of the then Inspector General of Police on national television. While expressing his satisfaction to the then IG on the cordial loyalty he enjoys from Lucky Moses, the honourable minister described ASP Lucky Moses as an embodiment of hard work and dedication.

ASP. Lucky Moses who emanate from Taraba State, the north eastern region of the country, is one of the brightest young Nigeria Police officer who has exhibited self discipline, commitment and devotion to the service of this nation. This young officer has being working with Alhaji Lai Muhammed as a personnel attaché for close to decade now. His record under the watch of Alhaji Lai Mohammed and even prior to when they cross path is replete with good testimonies elusifying the record he placed in the sand of time.

The organization under the auspices of the North East Global Youth Initiative was led to the minister’s office by her National Chairman Amb. Hope Daniel Vyonku and other key members of the organization, and were receive by the ADC to the minister and other staff of the ministry.

While presiding over the award presentation, the national chairman of NEGYI lauded the effort of ASP. Lucky Moses for being outstanding, and charged him to sustain all tempo, that the best is yet to come. ASP Lucky Moses in turn while responding to the delegation shed tears of joy saying since he got this job, no one or group from his state or from the region has ever identify with him. He further promise to sustain all tempo as enjoined by the NEGYI national chairman and promise to be an example to youth in the region as he strives to make Taraba and the entire north east region proud.

The National chairman further briefed the ADC and staff of the ministry objectives upon which the noble organization (NEGYI) is built. The organization has began engaging youths on areas of capacity building project on peace and Youth Initiative. Public awareness on drugs abuse, fight against crime and other vices bedevilling the region with the aim of changing the mindset of the youths for the betterment of the region and Nigeria at large.

In his closing remark, the NEGYI national chairman said, the entire north east will leave to remember the likes of DCP Kyari and ASP Lucky Moses for making the north eastern region proud. Amb. Hope Daniel Vyonkyu further thank the management and staff of the ministry for the opportunity and the warm reception placed at their disposal on arrival, and further appeal to the minister on the need for partnership in order to put resources together to meet the need of over 5million north easterners who are displaced by the activities of Boko haram. Adding that, humanity more than ever before needs more NOT less togetherness, more NOT less solidarity, more NOT less collective responsibility, and more NOT less multilateralism.
